In short: RoamDrop is a tool for organizing your own travel information. It is not a travel agency and does not book, sell or guarantee anything. What it reads from your documents and what it works out for you (times, reminders, sums) can be wrong. Always check your bookings, dates, documents and travel rules at the original source.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Mariia Tararova (OIB 17233930874), Primorska 8, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia (“RoamDrop”, “we”, “us”), who makes and sells the RoamDrop app. You can reach us at legal@roamdrop.app and support@roamdrop.app. By installing or using the app, or by using this website, you agree to these terms and to the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of them. If you do not agree, do not use RoamDrop. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to information; it describes, and is not itself a contract.

RoamDrop is made for adults organizing their own travel and is not directed at children. To use it you must be at least 16, or older if your country sets a higher minimum age for agreeing to terms like these. If you are below the age of majority where you live, use RoamDrop and make any purchase only with the agreement of a parent or guardian.

2. What RoamDrop is, and is not

RoamDrop is a personal organization tool. It helps you collect travel information (screenshots, PDFs, tickets, links, notes and bookings) and arrange it into a day-by-day trip. RoamDrop is not a travel agency, tour operator, airline, hotel, booking service, immigration adviser or insurer. We do not sell, book, guarantee or fulfill any travel product, and nothing in the app is travel, legal or financial advice.

You are responsible for checking every important detail (passports, visas, entry rules, booking conditions, check-in times, prices, schedules and cancellation policies) directly with the provider or the authority concerned.

RoamDrop is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any airline, hotel, booking site, map or social platform whose bookings, links or content you add to it. Their names and marks belong to their owners.

3. Your licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use RoamDrop on Apple devices that you own or control, as the App Store’s usage rules allow. You may not copy, resell, rent or modify the app, or decompile or reverse-engineer it, except where the law gives you that right whatever a contract says. The app, its design, its texts and the RoamDrop name and marks belong to us.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add to RoamDrop. You are responsible for that content and for having the right to use it, including when it contains information about other people.

Where it lives, and backups. Your content is stored on your device. We hold no copy of it and cannot restore it. A trip that exists only on your device is gone if the device is lost or the app is deleted, so keeping backups is your responsibility. If you turn on “A copy in your iCloud” or share a trip, the trip is also stored in iCloud, a service Apple provides to you under your own agreement with Apple. We are not a party to that storage and cannot open it.

5. Sharing a trip

A shared trip is edited together. Anyone who opens its invitation link with an Apple Account joins the trip and can change or delete what is in it; RoamDrop does not offer view-only sharing. Everyone on the trip sees the cards, the files kept in the trip, and the others’ names with the email address or phone number that iCloud holds for them. You decide whom to invite, and the owner can remove a person or stop sharing at any time. We cannot see a shared trip and cannot undo what another person on it has changed.

PDF export. A PDF you export shows what you chose to include, which can be the people on the trip, the budget and the lists. On the PDF of a shared trip, the QR code is the trip’s invitation link: whoever scans it can join the trip and edit it. Send such a PDF only to people you would invite.

6. Publishing a trip as a web page

You can turn a trip into a page that anyone holding its link can read, and while the link is on, the page keeps up with the trip on its own. You decide who receives the link, and you can turn it off at any time on the trip’s Share screen. You are responsible for what you publish this way, including anything about other people that you typed into the trip. Do not publish a trip that carries somebody else’s personal information without their agreement.

Deleting the trip takes its page down as well, but deleting the app does not, so turn the link off before you delete the app; in version 1.1 of the app, turn it off before you delete the trip too (see the Privacy Policy). We may remove a published page that is reported to us and that we find to be unlawful or in breach of these terms. We keep no list of pages and cannot read them, so a report has to include the full link.

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you shared or published in breach of these terms, you are responsible for the loss this causes us, as far as the law allows.

7. Passports, identity and payment documents

RoamDrop is not meant for passports, identity cards, visas, payment cards or similar documents, and we ask you not to keep them in it. The app tries to recognize such documents and to keep their numbers off your cards, as the Privacy Policy describes, but that detection is automatic and can fail. If you choose to keep such a file in a trip, you do so at your own risk, and in a shared trip everyone on it can open the file.

8. Recognition, estimates and reminders

RoamDrop does some work for you. All of it is there to help you, and none of it replaces checking the original.

9. Services of others

iCloud, Apple Maps, the App Store and the websites behind the links you add are run by their operators under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or their content, and a feature that depends on one of them can stop working if that service changes or is unavailable.

10. Availability and changes to the app

We aim to keep RoamDrop working well but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change the app for good reasons: to fix faults, to keep it secure, to follow changes in Apple’s systems or in the law, or to improve it. Such changes cost you nothing.

The app checks two settings on our website. With them we can ask you to update before the app continues, when a version has a serious fault, and we can pause trip sharing for everyone when a fault or a security problem makes that necessary.

If a change makes a feature you paid for materially worse during the period you paid for, you may end that purchase and ask Apple for a refund of the unused part; write to us and we will support your request.

11. Prices and purchases

What is free. Planning in RoamDrop is free: trips and cards you add yourself, the day board, the links, photos and files you attach, sharing a trip and editing it together, the budget, packing lists, offline access, and PDF export with a small “Made with RoamDrop” footer. Recognition of your documents runs on your device and always shows you what it found before anything is asked of you. If we ever change what is free, the change applies from then on and takes away nothing you have already paid for.

What is paid. What you pay for is keeping the work RoamDrop does for you. Each installation can save 3 recognized cards and import 1 whole plan for free. That allowance belongs to the installation on your device: deleting and reinstalling the app does not reset it, and deleting cards does not give saves back. The app may add free saves from time to time, for example for answering a question after a trip, and says so on the screen when it does. Beyond the allowance, the following need an active RoamDrop Plus subscription or a trip pass for that trip: saving further recognized cards, importing further whole plans, who owes whom in shared expenses, packing by person, moving a saved idea or place into a trip, adding a trip to your calendar, and a PDF without the footer. Using an earlier trip as a template needs RoamDrop Plus; a trip pass does not open it. The example trip that comes with the app is never locked.

RoamDrop Plus is an auto-renewable yearly subscription. While it is active it opens the paid features on every trip you own, for everyone on those trips, and on your own devices also on trips you have joined. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for another year at the price then in force unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings (on iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

A trip pass is a single purchase for one trip that does not renew (in the App Store’s terms, a non-renewing subscription). It opens the paid features for that trip for 90 days, counted from the moment of purchase or, for a pass obtained with an offer code, from the moment the code is redeemed, whether or not the pass has been put on a trip yet. A pass is meant to be bought by the trip’s owner, and then it opens the trip for everyone on it. Where the app lets another person on the trip buy a pass, as version 1.1 does, that pass opens the trip for the buyer only. The pass belongs to the trip it was bought for: changing the trip’s dates, name or contents does not extend or restart it, it cannot be moved to another trip, and a trip that is deleted and made again is a new trip. You can buy a new pass when one ends.

Offer codes. A code redeemed on Apple’s code screen gives what its offer says. A pass that comes from a code arrives without a trip, and the app asks which trip to put it on. Codes cannot be exchanged for money.

When access ends, whether a subscription lapses or a pass runs out, nothing you saved is taken away. Your cards, documents, budget and lists stay, and so does everything that is free; only the paid features listed above close again until you renew or buy a new pass.

Prices, cancelling, refunds and restoring. The price is shown on the purchase screen before you buy, in your local currency, and may differ between countries. All purchases are made through the App Store and are also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days; for App Store purchases Apple handles this, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are decided and paid by Apple under its policies; if a purchase is refunded, the access it gave ends. If you reinstall the app or use a new device with the same Apple Account, “Restore Purchases” on the purchase screen brings back what you bought, and a restored pass returns to the trip it was bought for.

12. Disclaimers

RoamDrop is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that the app is accurate, always available or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer, including your rights when digital content or a digital service does not conform to the contract.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law: for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or under mandatory consumer law.

Subject to that:

14. Ending

You can stop using RoamDrop at any time by deleting the app. There is no account to close. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, does not remove trips stored in iCloud and does not take down pages you published; the Privacy Policy says how to do each of those.

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may end your licence, remove pages you published and, where the app allows it, withhold its online features. Sections that by their nature should outlast the agreement, such as those on your content, disclaimers, liability and governing law, continue to apply.

15. Apple

You get RoamDrop from Apple’s App Store, so the following applies:

Apple, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, iCloud, App Store and Apple Maps are trademarks of Apple Inc. RoamDrop is not affiliated with Apple.

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with RoamDrop or with something you bought, write to support@roamdrop.app or by post to the address in section 1. We confirm that we have received a written complaint and answer it in writing within 15 days of receiving it. For a payment or a refund, contact Apple, which takes the payment. You can also turn to the consumer protection bodies of the country where you live.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Croatia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country or in Croatia. We will bring proceedings against a consumer only in the courts of the country where the consumer lives.

18. General

If a part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to someone who takes over RoamDrop, provided your rights are not reduced; your licence is personal and you may not transfer it. These terms are written in English. Where we publish a translation and it differs, the English text decides, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

19. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the app, the law or the way RoamDrop is sold changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and the versions it replaced stay in the archive. When a change affects your rights or what you pay, the app shows a notice with a link to the new text. If you go on using RoamDrop after that, the new terms apply to you from then on; if you do not agree with them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription. A change never shortens paid access you already have.
